Project Description

ARGANS Limited, working with partners from the University of Southampton, Coastal Oceanography, Ocean and Earth Science department and isardSAT, a SAR specialist SME are developing a processing chain to correct satellite derived waterlines for the height of water at the time of satellite overpass. This processing chain is of particular significance to developing nations who do not have access to long archives of tidal or beach gradient datasets. The resulting processing chain will enable a thorough historical archive of coastal change to be accurately modelled and significantly enhance coastal development planning and constructions.
