Project Description
Copernicus is the world's largest single earth observation programme and is directed by the European Commission in partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA). It aims at achieving a global, continuous, autonomous, high quality, wide range Earth observation capacity. As a consortium member ARGANS provides operations management and system operators at the Sentinel-2 Mission Performance Centre providing quality assurance services, and responding to image quality issues via a ticket-based user support system. Under contract by ESA, ARGANS contributed to pre-launch and post-launch commissioning and now provide the QA support role under an annual operational contract. In addition, ARGANS provides Expert Support Laboratory services in Level 1 sensor calibration.
