Project Description

Copernicus is the world's largest single earth observation programme and is directed by the European Commission in partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA). It aims at achieving a global, continuous, autonomous, high quality, wide range Earth observation capacity. As a consortia member under ACRI-ST lead ARGANS provides the expert scientist responsible for Level 1 and Level 2 sensor calibration and system operators at the Sentinel-3 Mission Performance Centre providing quality assurance services. Under contract by ESA, ARGANS contributed to pre-launch and post-launch commissioning and now provide the QA support role under an annual operational contract..
